We collect personal data from you when you visit our websites or use our services. This includes, in particular, information required for registration, use, support, and provision of our services.

  • Registration and usage information: When you create an account, we collect the data required to provide the requested services. This may include your name, address, phone number, email address, and other identifying information.

Anonymous data about computer hardware and software may also be collected automatically, such as country of origin, language settings, browser type, domain name, access time, and website addresses.

Data collected on an O&O website or through an O&O service may be shared within O&O, its branches, and subsidiaries.

O&O recommends reading the privacy statements of websites that you may access via links from O&O. O&O is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of websites outside O&O websites.

02 Why do we store personal data?

We retain personal data in an identifiable format for as long as required by law or regulation, or for as long as it is needed for our business purposes.

We may retain personal data for longer periods than legally required if this is in our legitimate business interest and not prohibited by law. If your account is closed, we may take steps to mask personal data and other information. However, we reserve the right to retain and access data for as long as required under applicable laws.

03 Use of your personal data

O&O and its service partners collect and use your personal data to operate O&O websites and to provide the services you request.

O&O may share personal data with service providers that perform services and functions on our instructions and on our behalf. With your consent, O&O uses your personally identifiable information to inform you about available products or services. O&O may also contact you through surveys to ask for your opinion about current or potential new services and products.

O&O does not sell, rent, or lease its customer lists to third parties. Your personal data will not be shared with third parties for their marketing activities without your consent.

You may withdraw your consent at any time free of charge. O&O does not collect or use sensitive personal data such as religion, race, or political affiliation.

04 Disclosure for legal or business reasons

We may disclose information about you to third parties for business reasons or where disclosure is legally permitted or required. This applies in particular in the following cases:

  • where we are required to comply with a law, legal order, or regulation,
  • to law enforcement agencies, government officials, or other third parties in response to legal proceedings or requirements,

In addition, O&O may share aggregated statistical data with third parties such as other companies or the public. This data cannot be used to personally identify you.

05 Matomo web analytics

This website uses Matomo, open-source software for the statistical analysis of visitor access. Matomo uses cookies, which are text files stored on your computer and which enable analysis of website usage.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is stored on the provider’s server in Germany. The IP address is anonymized immediately after processing and before storage.

You can prevent cookies from being installed by adjusting your browser settings. Please note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website in full.

07 Use of cookies

Many O&O websites use cookies to help personalize your experience. A cookie is a text file that is copied to your hard drive by a web server. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your computer.

One main purpose of cookies is to provide a time-saving feature. For example, if you personalize O&O pages or register on O&O sites or services, a cookie helps O&O retrieve your specific information on later visits.

You have several options for managing your cookie settings. Depending on your browser or internet device, you can delete, disable, or block certain cookies or tracking technologies. Further information is available at AboutCookies.org.

08 Use of Facebook plug-ins

These web pages use plug-ins from the social network facebook.com, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA.

When you visit pages of our website that contain such a plug-in, a connection to Facebook’s servers is only established if you actively click the Facebook icon. Only then is information transmitted to Facebook about which of our web pages you have visited.

If you are logged in as a Facebook member at that time, Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook user account. Further information about Facebook’s collection and use of data, as well as your rights and options for protecting your privacy, can be found in Facebook’s privacy notices.

09 Security of your personal data

O&O protects your personal data against unauthorized access, use, and disclosure. Your personally identifiable information is protected on servers in a controlled, secure environment.

When personal data, such as a credit card number, is transmitted to other websites, this data is protected by encryption, for example using the SSL protocol.

You are responsible for the security and confidentiality of your passwords and your account profile or registration data. It is also your responsibility to ensure that the personal data we hold about you is correct and up to date.

10 What rights do you have?

You have the right to access, rectification, restriction, objection, erasure, and portability of your personal data.

Please contact us if you wish to exercise these rights. If you have an account with one of our services, you can usually review and edit personal data directly in that account by logging in and updating the information.
